The Canucks for Kids Fund dedicates resources to assist charities who support children’s health and wellness, foster the development of grassroots hockey, and facilitate and encourage education in British Columbia.
BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
The relationship with BC Children’s Hospital goes back to the formative years of the Canucks for Kids Fund. BC Children’s Hospital treats the province’s sickest and most seriously injured children, combining to help more than 72,000 patients a year. As BC’s major treatment, teaching and research facility for child health, the importance of the hospital can be felt province-wide.
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and the Canucks for Kids Fund have shared a significant bond over the history of the two organizations. Since opening its doors in 1995, the Canucks for Kids Fund has granted Canuck Place more than $27 million. Canuck Place offers focused pediatric care for children with life-limiting conditions, as well as facilitated support for their families.
Canucks Autism Network (CAN)
Canucks Autism Network provides programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives across BC and beyond.
Canucks Family Education Centre
The Canucks for Kids Fund supports a variety of educational initiatives and programs. The Canucks have developed and implemented three in-school programs: Fin’s Friends, Power PLAY: Fitness. Nutrition. Fun, and the Canucks Family Education Centre (CFEC). The Canucks are also very active in the annual Raise A Reader Day and Future Goals, a newly launched NHL initiative.
