About The 50/50 Program

The Canucks for Kids Fund 50/50 Program is a highly reputable fundraising program. At all Vancouver Canucks and Warriors home games, and select concerts and events, dedicated and passionate volunteers sell 50/50 raffle tickets with half of the total jackpot benefitting the Canucks for Kids Fund.

Our 50/50 volunteers do more than sell tickets. They are ambassadors for the Canucks for Kids Fund each and every event night. Thanks to the generosity of our fans, donors, players, employees and sponsors, the Canucks for Kids Fund has granted more than $94.5 million to charities in BC over the last 38 years. The core beneficiaries of the Fund are Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Canucks Autism Network, and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

• All Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older.
• Have a positive attitude and good command of the English language.
• Be comfortable handling high volume cash transactions.
• Physically capable of being on the concourse for three hours in succession.
• No criminal record.

• New volunteers arrive at the arena 1 hour before doors open for required training.
• Returning volunteers arrive at the arena no later than 30 minutes before doors open.
• Upon arrival, volunteers check in and receive their location assignment.
• 50/50 aprons and ticket sales equipment are provided.
• For games, volunteers sell tickets from the time doors open one hour before puck drop, until the end of the second intermission.
• For concerts and events, volunteers sell tickets from the time doors open until 9:00pm or when the headliner comes on stage; whichever comes first.
• Volunteers return to the 50/50 office to sign-in equipment and cash.
• At this time, volunteers are free to go!
• Lastly, meet other amazing volunteers and have fun!

In appreciation of your time and effort, volunteers receive the following benefits:

• Nightly Prize Draws: Every event night we do draws for gift cards and/or merchandise!
• Game Tickets: Receive 1 pair of tickets to a Canucks home game for every 4 games you volunteer at.
• Gift Cards: Receive a $100 gift card of your choice from giftcards.ca for every 4 concerts you volunteer at.
• Concessions Discount: Volunteers receive 50% off concessions at games they are selling at (some restrictions).
• Team Store Discount: Volunteers receive 20% off merchandise (some restrictions).
• Special Events: A chance to volunteer at CFKF events throughout the year.
• Season End Party: A time for volunteers and staff to celebrate the season!
