CELEBRATING FILIPINO HERITAGE NIGHT

For the Vancouver Canucks inaugural Filipino Heritage Night we are proud to unveil a pair of new Canucks logo designs created by local artist Karissa Narukami. Karissa’s eye-catching design features many elements found on the Philippine flag. Three golden stars honour three distinct Philippine island regions. A golden sun with eight shining rays represents provinces that were heroic in the successful fight for independence.


Karissa’s beautiful design will debut during Filipino Heritage Night’s December 5th game at 6pm against the Utah Mammoth. The celebration will include a 4pm Party On The Plaza featuring performances and exhibitions by Lights Vancouver, Himig Kabataan Cultural Society, PhilCAS, as well as anthem performances by Emmalyn Estrada. There’s also a Filipino market at sections 101-103 and Lucky Booth photos at section 111. We hope to see you at Rogers Arena for this very special night!
